What is the Wirral Wonder Award?
The Wirral Wonder Award is an award for members of Girlguiding Wirral who have done something above and beyond. It consists of a special badge and certificate which will be presented to recipients in honour of their achievement.
What can someone do to earn a Wirral Wonder Award? Who can nominate someone and who can be nominated?
The ways in which a Wirral Wonder Award can be achieved are as wide as your imagination! The only criteria to be considered for an award is that you must be part of Wirral Girlguiding (in any role or section) and you must be nominated by another person. However, the person nominating does not have to be from Girlguiding at all – parents, neighbours, leaders, unit helpers etc. are all welcome to nominate someone they feel deserves recognition for an achievement, goal or personal milestone etc.
Some examples that could earn an award include helping an individual or group in the local community, going above and beyond in their role in Girlguiding, or showing exceptional bravery. However, reasons to give the Wonder Award are endless. All nominations will be considered on an individual basis by the thanks and recognition committee.
