Girlguiding have produced an accounts package to help maintain your Unit accounts. It can be downloaded from the following page.

If your Unit is struggling, you may be eligible for a grant to help. You can find out more about grants available nationally from the following page.

Information and the application forms can be found on Girlguiding North West England’s website for other grants that are available, including from the Marshall Trust for uniform.

A Safe Space

All our volunteers need to keep up to date with the Girlguiding safeguarding training called A Safe Space. This is spilt into 4 different levels. The majority of our volunteers need to complete Levels 1 and 2, these can be the e-learning courses found here, or a face to face training. At least one volunteer with Level 3 needs to be present at Unit meetings. Level 3 trainings can be booked via the Girlguiding North West England website, or details of local courses will be sent out to book on directly.

To find out what level of training you need for your Unit role, click here.

A hand pocket guide has been produced to help with safeguarding, it can be found here.

For further help with safety and risk management there are several pages on the Girlguiding website with helpful information.
