Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England, working with other Organisations including Girlguiding North West England.
It complements our Guiding programme and is available to members up to the age of 25. There is also a recognised qualification at the end.
Saron Payne and Karen Hodgson are your Arts Award Advisors here on Wirral.
There are five levels. Discover, Explore, Bronze, silver and Gold.
Each level is split into guided and independent learning hours.
Each is split into sections typically: Take part, Explore, create and share.
Lots of our creative UMA’s fit nicely and count as guided learning hours so will crafts visits to the theatre and lots more guiding activities. You need to keep evidence on activities.
There is a cost involved for certificates from Trinity and moderation for Explore upwards.
Guiding NWE do a folder and badge (on completion) for £5 to keep all your work together. However, you are free to keep your work in any way you choose and just get the badge for £1 at the end.
