Annual Gathering 2018
Annual Gathering 2018 – Tuesday 3 April, Ellesmere Port Civic Centre
Thank you to Dibbinsbrook Division for hosting the Annual Gathering on 3 April at Ellesmere Port Civic Centre. It was so lovely to see so many volunteers in such a lovely venue.
We celebrated a number of long service awards, ranging from 5 years to 50 years, which shows the achievement and commitment that our volunteers give to Girlguiding. Congratulations to everyone that received an award. To see the phots from the night click here or visit the Photo Gallery page.
There was a presentation about the different opportunities that are available through Girlguiding such as the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and two Gold Duke of Edinburgh awardees gave a presentation and were awarded their gold badge. If anyone would like more information on Duke of Edinburgh opportunities in Girlguiding Wirral, please contact Rosie email@example.com
Hadlow Fields – our Wirral campsite is celebrating its 40thanniversary in 2018. We had a wonderful presentation from Sue Dutton celebrating Hadlow over the years and the developments that have taken place.
There was also a lovely presentation showcasing all that Girlguding Wirral achieved in 2017, presented by our outgoing County Commissioner Linda Smallthwaite. https://youtu.be/zvXhWlW_GtU

She also thanked Cath Naylor for all her support with the PR of the county with a thank you badge and also gave Fiona Ledson a Good Service Award for all her commitment and time to the West Wirral Gang Show.
We then ended the evening with abit of fun and a guiding episode of “Would I Lie to You!”
Thank you to all the organisers and presenters for a lovely evening, it really is a pleasure to see so many people come together that do so much for our young girls.
